100th
and 101st shows - Brittingham's Irish Pub (Sat. Dec. 4) and Riddle Ale House
(Sat. Dec. 11)
Loyal Slightly Sedated Friends and Fans,
With great pleasure, Slightly Sedated is proud to announce a
major milestone (not a millstone) and historical (not hysterical, well maybe)
event as our next two shows will mark our 100th and 101st gigs as Slightly
Sedated. You are cordially (a word which here means we'd love it) invited to
join us for this celebration of our musical longevity (an accomplishment at our
age...lol) which would not have been possible without your support over these
last few years, for which we thank you (Hey it is Thanksgiving!!!). As we turn
the corner into the holiday season, we'll be doing our wacky Christmas favorites
at both shows, which should get you into the holiday spirit as a bonus.
So where are thse 2 big event celebrations and extravaganzas?
The Big 100th - On Sat. Dec. 4, we'll be at Brittingham's Irish Pub in Lafayette Hill, PA (9:00-1:00) on Germantown Pike, just 5 minutes from the Blue Route, a great spot to see our show, dance with friends, and toast the occasion with a Jamisons, a Tully or a warm Guiness Stout (or all of the above). Always a festive Irish vibe, we'll feature our Celtic leanings (Dropkicks galore) and everyone can enjoy a warm Irish glow, and get a red-nosed (like Rudolf). For directions and menu see www.brittinghams.com/.
On to our 101st - On Sat. Dec. 11, we'll be at The Riddle Ale House in Media, PA (actually Lima and also 9:00-1:00) on Baltimore Pike right at the Granite Run Mall. This is a great opportunity to hit the mall, do some Christmas shopping, and join the celebration. The Riddle Ale House is also a great restaurant and you should consider a fine meal as part of the evening and help us get started on our "2nd hundred". Here we'll feature our Tribute to the band "Cake" (no other band does this) as our host (the Riddle's owner) is a big Cake fan as we are. For directions and menu see www.riddlealehouse.com.
As a bonus on both nights we'll also
debut our new CD "Don't Turn to the Left", featuring the following new tunes; Global Warming, The World is Flat, No Redeeming Social Value, SenIsle City,
Make It Count and The Bailout Blues. As a thank you to our fans on getting us to
100 shows, we'll be giving many away for free (a $9.99 value plus Shipping and
Handling) and you can be the first to own our 2nd CD (BTW Mark will be
autographing after the 2nd set...lol),
We would be honored if you could join us for either (or
both) of these celebrations, so mark the calendars and join us at Brittingham's
Irish Pub
on Dec. 4 or The Riddle Ale House on Dec. 11.
Happy Thanksgiving from Slightly Sedated,
(John, Steve, and Mark)
