Sundance Saloon - Sat. Feb.
12 - Dedicated to The Catholic Girls
Howdy Sedated Friends,
We just wanted to get out a notice (we like to call
them press releases) inviting you to our show at the Sundance Saloon
in Aston, PA, next Saturday, Feb. 12 (9:00-1:00).
As Hefti and Mary McCleaft arranged the connection for us, we would like to thank
them by playing some of Hefti's hero, the infamous Frank Zappa (who is also high
on the Slightly Sedated list). As we debut at the Sundance, we will debut
several Zappa tunes from Apostrophe and Joe's Garage (Hefti's fave). Along those
lines, we would also like to dedicate the show to all of the "Catholic Girls"
who show up, since that's the (very) politically incorrect song we've selected
from Joe's Garage. All Catholic Girls will receive an "Absolutely Free" Slightly
Sedated Oval sticker, and those that wear their old school uniforms and knee
socks will be entered to win a Slightly Sedated promotional rosary.
The Sundance Saloon is a cozy
Roadhouse bar in beautiful downtown Aston on Concord Road just east of Five
Points. Those historians amongst us (or native Astonians) may remember it as the
old "Ski Bar", and I was never sure whether that had "alpine skiing"
connotations or was ethnically themed (which would have been politically
incorrect before that term was even invented). Nonetheless, the Sundance Saloon
is a great venue for music, has a fun loving crowd, and serves up some of the
finest wings this side of Bryn Mawr (la di da). We're sure to feel at home
there, so we bet you will too, and plan to play our finest collection blues,
rock, Celtic punk, and comedy songs that we're sure you'll like.
Soooo, tell your parish friends, pass this along to any
Catholic Girls, post this notice in the Rectory basement, and come on out to the
Sundance Saloon on Saturday Feb. 12.
Slightly Yours,
Father John, Brother Steve, and Altar Boy Mark
(A "Trinity" of a different sort)

P.S. Thanks to all who made it out to the Brickette Lounge last Sat. It was a
fun time and we hope to see our West Chester area fans out there again soon, so
stay tuned.
