January Newsletter - The Stone Tavern (1/13) and The Liberty Tavern (1/27)
Sedated Friends and Fans,
     Happy New Year folks.  We hope you're as excited as we are about the year ahead as we enter our 19th year as Slightly Sedated.  This would not be possible without all of our friend's and fan's support, and for that, we thank you all.  Yes, we are all "slightly" older, but we are charged up for the year ahead as we approach our 300th gig, and we gradually unveil our "dual tribute" show featuring the works of Tom Petty (both with The Heartbreakers and the Traveling Wilburys) and Little Feat.  As our current (pre-2024) repertoire includes well over 200 songs, we are looking forward to expanding it to include these tribute works, and our next few shows will include most of the Tom Petty material, with our Little Feat expansion targeted for the February-March timeframe.
    For January, you'll be able to catch our "Slightly Unplugged" duo Jan. 13 at The Stone Tavern in West Chester and the full band on Jan. 27 at The Liberty Tavern in Woodlyn.  We sure hope to see some of you at these upcoming shows and we're looking forward to that.  Here are the details.

• Sat. Jan. 13 (8:00-11:00) - "Unplugged" Duo at The Stone Tavern - West Chester, PA (https://www.thestonetavern1867.com/)
  Formerly known as the "Blarney Stone", this iconic Irish Pub has been reimagined, redesigned and reinvigorated into The Stone Tavern 1867 - with a wee bit o’ Blarney.  It is truly a charming combination of 150 year old reclaimed wood, stone, and mortar with accents of copper, cobblestone, mature landscape and décor of the old country – both historic Chester County and that of Donegal.  The "Stone" takes pride in their house made menu items and cooking from scratch with quality ingredients from their local butcher. They have also partnered with The Connacht Whiskey Company in County Mayo, Ireland so you can enjoy hand bottled Irish spirits that are distilled in copper pot stills in the former home of Duffy’s Bakery on the banks of the beautiful River Moy.  There will always be a wee bit o’ Blarney at The Stone.  For menu and directions, check out their website at https://www.thestonetavern1867.com/
  Please Note - If the Eagles end up with a playoff game that night, we will probably be cancelled, so folks can focus on the big game

• Sat. Jan. 27 (7:00-11:00) - Full Band at The Liberty Tavern - Woodlyn PA (https://www.facebook.com/p/Liberty-Tavern-Woodlyn-100090260588896/)
  The Liberty Tavern is the evolution of Liberty Steaks and Hoagies into a great Delco-vibe bar, as they have done some great re-modeling of the facility while retaining their acclaimed cheese steaks, philly steak and hoagie menu, with attentive staff, a full fledged beer menu, and fully stocked bar, with a regular live music schedule.  It !doesn't get any better than that!!
  This is a new venue for us and we're looking forward rocking out the Liberty with our best material, and it will be a chance for you to catch all of our new Tom Petty material.  Hope to see all of our Delco friends.
