March Newsletter - The Stone Tavern (3/9) and Craft Beer Store (3/16)
Sedated Friends and Fans,
As March brings us to the festive St.
Patrick's Day season, we have two shows that we'll unleash our Irish
repertoire. Multiple Dropkick Murphies, "Irish Rover", "Danny
Boy", "Galway Girl", "Whiskey in the Jar", and our own "Slightly Irish Drinking Song" will be on tap, as we break out our green shirts. We'll be bringing good craic to The Stone Tavern on Sat. Mar. 9 (Unplugged Duo), then at The Craft Beer Store in Springfield on Sat. Mar. 16 (full band). We sure hope to see some of you at these upcoming shows and we're looking forward to that.
Here are the details.
- Sat. Mar. 9 (8:00-11:00) - - "Unplugged" Duo at The Stone Tavern - West Chester, PA (https://www.thestonetavern1867.com/)
Formerly known as the "Blarney Stone", this iconic Irish Pub has been reimagined, redesigned and reinvigorated into The Stone Tavern 1867 -
with a wee bit o’ Blarney. It is truly a charming combination of
150 year old reclaimed wood, stone, and mortar with accents of copper,
cobblestone, mature landscape and décor of the old country – both
historic Chester County and that of Donegal.
The "Stone" takes pride in their house made menu items and cooking from
scratch with quality ingredients from their local butcher. They have
also partnered with The Connacht Whiskey Company in County Mayo,
Ireland so you can enjoy hand bottled Irish spirits that are distilled
in copper pot stills in the former home of Duffy’s Bakery on the banks
of the beautiful River Moy. There will always be a wee bit o’
Blarney at The Stone. For menu and directions, check out their
website at https://www.thestonetavern1867.com/
- Sat. Mar. 16 (7:00-10:00) - Full Band at The Craft Beer Store, Springfield, PA (https://www.craftbeerspringfield.com/)
A
new venue for us, The Craft Beer Store is truly unique and innovative
concept, doubling as a live music bar with a "mission" to supply DELCO
with the Best Craft Beer selection from around the United States, while
supporting as many independent breweries as possible. From IPAs,
Stouts, Sours and more, they strive to educate and extend your beer
drinking pallet, one beer at a time. They have 30 rotating beers on draft and offer fresh crowler and growler pours to go (see tap list here).
There are 18 fridges behind the main bar area filled with over 750 beer
singles to mix and match. Grabbing a pint from the bar while
shopping is not only allowed, but encouraged.
- Facebook news note - we now have a new Facebook page at SlightlySedated. Please feel free to "follow" us to get event updates and invites, and any manner of other band or duo related news.
So mark those calendars for The Stone Tavern on Sat. Mar. 9 and/or The Craft Beer Store on Sat. Mar. 16. Hope to see you (wearing the green) at one of these venues.
