Sundown at the Sundance
Saloon Sat. May 21 & St. Eugene "Cowpie Bingo" Benefit Sun. May 22
Hello Sedaters,
The days are getting longer, but the sun still sets every
evening, and next Saturday May 21 brings "Slightly Sedated"
back to the Sundance Saloon in Aston for a post sunset
show we hope you can saunter out to see. It's also a "bonus" night for live
bands as we'll be joined that night by a new band called the "Rogue Dadz"
(featuring our friend Bob "Taterhead" Lucchese), so you'll get two styles of
music and almost continuous fun. The "Rogue Dadz" are a 7 member band that
features classic rock and southern/country rock, and we'll do our part to be
"different" in our multifariously eclectic way, as we'll feature our newest
material from Citizen Cope and our now fully filled out "Slightly plays Zappa"
tribute medleys.
The Sundance Saloon (on Concord Road just below Five Points)
is a great place to relax and catch our show, with a friendly staff, great
drinks, a nice pool table, a cool stage and a fun-loving crowd ... so join us
just after sunset (we start at 9:00) at the Sundance Saloon in Aston on Saturday
night May 21.
For those of you who are more in Eastern Delco (or are afraid of the dark) we'll
also be appearing the next afternoon (in broad daylight) at St.
Eugene's School (Oak Ave. in Clifton Heights) for their "Cowpie
Bingo" benefit and parish school fundraiser. That would be on Sunday May 22 and
there will be great family fun, crafts and activities for the kids, carnival
atmosphere, food booths, and we'll play a few sets of more family friendly
material (yes, we can actually do that). As you may guess, there is gambling
involved (although the archdiocese would prefer we call it a raffle), but all
for the benefit of the school. In "Cowpie Bingo" you can purchase a chance on a
"square" in the field of play, where a cow will eventually place a deposit. If
you are lucky (or skilled) enough to have selected that location, you win a
large share of the pool, and previous winners have won over $5,000. Oh, and at
your option, you can also take home the cow's deposit...lol.
So next weekend (May 21-22) is definitely a two-fer.
Come out to the Sundance Saloon in Aston on Saturday night May 21
or St. Eugene's School on Sunday afternoon May 22 for
one of our shows. Adult fun, family fun or both, take your pick and hope to see
you there.
Slightly Yours and,
