Slightly Sedated at The Market at Liberty Place (3/21), Aston Brass Band at the Delaware Contemporary Art Museum (3/6) and Slightly Unplugged at DiFabio's (3/14 for a St. Paddy's Party) and Monaghan's Irish Pub (3/29). This is truly a month where you might "need a scorecard", so here are the details in a more chronological order.
- Fri. Mar. 6 - (5:30-8:30) - "Aston Brass Band" at The Delaware Contemporary Art Museum - Wilmington, DE (https://www.decontemporary.org/)
Come
out for some New Orleans style brass and a little culture as The
Delaware Contemporary hosts one of it's "First Friday" events. The Delaware Contemporary is the state's premier
contemporary art museum. Founded in 1979 by artists, it presents exhibitions of regionally, nationally, and
internationally recognized artists that explore topical issues in
contemporary art and society. They are excited to announce the museum-wide opening of eight contemporary
art exhibitions that invite visitors to explore themes such as
environment, personal identity, and the preservation of our emotional
worlds. Visitors will examine paintings, sculptures, site-specific art
installations, multimedia group shows, and a deep dive into the
evolution of collage. These exhibitions invite you to engage with the
social and physical landscapes, expressed by artists of our region and
beyond. Overall, the
Delaware Contemporary houses 7 galleries, 26 artist studios, a gallery
shop, auditorium, and classroom and is located on the popular
Riverfront Wilmington.
- Sat. Mar. 14 (6:00-9:00) - "Slightly Unplugged" at DiFabio's Sky Bar - Media, PA (https://difabiosevents.com/)
St.
Paddy's Day will be days away and John and Stave will be rolling out a
batch shanty Irish, so the Sky Bar is the perfect place to drink, dance
a jig, sing along, and dine. We'll be playing the Irish Rovers,
Dropkick Murphys, our "Delco Pub Crawl" song and our original "Slightly
Irish Drinking Song".
DiFabio’s offers
traditional favorites such as veal marsala, eggplant parmesan, and
grilled sausage with white beans & broccoli rabe. Additionally,
their chefs offer unique weekly specials and creative menu options that
are sure to please. The restaurant itself has a casual environment
boasting an old world ambience with a more updated feel.
If you are
looking to enjoy a delicious glass of wine, a creative cocktail or an
ice cold beer from their fifteen selections, and stellar service
DiFabio’s has what your looking for and more. DiFabio’s restaurant, the
tap room and our newest and swankiest addition, the Sky Bar (where
we're playing) are conveniently located on Route 252 directly off Route
1 Bypass in Media.
- Sat. Mar. 21 (6:00-10:00) - "Slightly Sedated" (full band) at The Market at Liberty Place, Kennett Square, PA (http://themarketatlibertyplace.com/)

our resident regular home in Kennett Square, The Market at Liberty
Place is a 10,000 square foot space (a mini-Reading Terminal), that's
home to an exciting mix of merchants selling freshly prepared foods,
produce, and other retail goods. It is also designed to serve as a
gathering place for members of the Kennett Square community.

John
and Steve return for a Sunday afternoon "Unplugged" acoustic show, which
means a good chance for you to enjoy our music at our favorite Irish
pub and some day drinking. Monaghan's is the coziest Irish Pub in Delco with the biggest and most delicious pub grub menu you'll ever experience. With Wings, Sliders, Steaks, Hoagies, Flatbreads and a long list of appetizers, and they
also feature a number of local craft brews on tap from Troegs, Victory
Brewing, Golden Road, 2SP and Guinness (of course). We
often stay after our show just to eat at Monaghan's....it's just that
delicious! Full Menu and directions are available at https://www.monaghanspub.com/.
