     A busy May is ahead for both Slightly Sedated and the Aston Brass Band with plenty of variety in locale, in music, and in culinary style, so check out the May schedule below and hope you can get out to a show (or two).

  The Aston Brass Band is excited to bring some "New Orleans into Newark" as we head to the Blue Crab Bar and Grill.  At the Blue Crab, you can dive into Newark's finest seafood experience! For over 25 years, they've been serving up fresh seafood, flavorful dishes, and creative cocktails in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. From their famous Crab Cakes to seasonal specials, every dish is made with love & a coastal flair.   As Slightly Sedated's resident regular home in Kennett Square, The Market at Liberty Place is a 10,000 square foot space (a mini-Reading Terminal), that's home to an exciting mix of merchants selling freshly prepared foods, produce, and other retail goods. • Sat. May 9 (7:00-10:00) - "Aston Brass Band" at The R Park Tavern, Ridley Park, PA (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100075941375325)
  "And now for something completely different", the Aston Brass Band returns to the R Park Tavern.  Built on New Orleans style brass bands, this group covers the Rebirth Brass Band, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, and many others, as well as brass-jazz-funk, swing, Dixieland and 2nd line gospel.  For our regular fans, we have lots of new material, and we hope you can join us as we continue our quest to become Delco's hottest NOLA brass band (we may be Delco's only one).   One of Delco's hidden treasures, the R Park Tavern is a friendly and cozy neighborhood tavern with a delicious and varied pub grub menu that the locals rave about.  The "R Park" is easy to get to, located on Sellers Ave., just minutes from I-95 (Stewart Ave. exit).  "R Park" stands for Ridley Park of course, and we're hoping many of our Delco friends can make it out to enjoy the R Park hospitality, conviviality, food and drink, and our music.

  At Uncle John’s BBQ in Claymont, the Aston Brass Band takes to the outdoor patio to serve up a generous mix of funky street brass and dixieland while Uncle John's serves up delicious Smoked BBQ with Homemade BBQ Sauces. They have it all ... Pork, Beef, Turkey, Chicken in all style ... Ribs, Tips, Pulled, Wings, Legs ... • Sun. May 17 - (3:00) - "Rose Tree Pops Orchestra" Spring Concert at Delaware County Christian School, Newtown Square, PA (https://www.rosetreepops.org/)
  The Rose Tree Pops Orchestra celebrates the 250th (Semiquincentennial) anniversary of our founding with a "Celebration of American Composers" program featuring a "Hymn for America", an "American Salute" , an "American in Paris", a John Williams Medley, songs from "Wicked" and more.  Inspirationally patriotic, we hope you can come out to enjoy this show.
