November Newsletter - 11/1-R Park Tavern (Slightly Sedated), 11/15-Market at Liberty Place (Slightly Sedated), 11/22-R Park Tavern (Aston Brass Band)
Sedated Friends and Fans,
     A very busy month of music ahead in November, with Slightly Sedated, the Aston Brass Band, Gilbert & Sullivan's "Gondoliers", and a Rose Tree Pops concert (whew).  We have "Slightly Sedated" at the R Park Tavern (11/1) and the Market at Liberty Place (11/15), the "Aston Brass Band" at the R Park Tavern (11/22), sandwiched around "The Gondoliers" (various show dates) Gilbert and Sullivan Operetta by the Rose Valley Chorus & Orchestra, and finally, The Rose Tree Pops Orchestra Fall Concert (11/23).  A busy month and we hope you can join us for some music.

• Sat. Nov. 1 - (7:00-10:00) - Full Band at The R Park Tavern - Ridley Park, PA (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100076206070900)
  One of Delco's hidden treasures, the R Park Tavern is a friendly and cozy neighborhood tavern with a delicious and varied pub grub menu that the locals rave about.  The "R Park" is easy to get to, located on Sellers Ave., just minutes from I-95 (Stewart Ave. exit).  "R Park" stands for Ridley Park of course, and we're hoping many of our Delco friends can make it out to enjoy the R Park hospitality, conviviality, food and drink, and our music.
• Sat. Nov. 15 (6:00-10:00) - Full Band at The Market at Liberty Place, Kennett Square, PA (http://themarketatlibertyplace.com/)
  As our resident regular home in Kennett Square, The Market at Liberty Place is a 10,000 square foot space (a mini-Reading Terminal), that's home to an exciting mix of merchants selling freshly prepared foods, produce, and other retail goods. • Sat. Nov. 22 (7:30-9:30) - "Aston Brass Band" at The R Park Tavern, Ridley Park, PA (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100075941375325)
  "And now for something completely different", the Aston Brass Band will be playing at the R Park Tavern.  Built on New Orleans style brass bands, this group covers the Rebirth Brass Band, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, and many others, as well as brass-jazz-funk (a la Herbie Hancock), swing (Cab Calloway), Dixieland and 2nd line gospel.  We hope you can join us as we continue our quest to become Delco's hottest NOLA brass band (we may be Delco's only one). • Nov. 8th, 9th, 12th and 16th (various times) - The Gondoliers at Strath Haven Middle School, Wallingford, PA (https://www.rvco.org/Tickets.php)
  The Rose Valley Chorus and Orchestra is reknowned for their productions of Gilbert and Sulivan operettas and they represent community theater at it's finest.  "The Gondoliers" is a classic example of the satire, silliness, and unsanctimonious observations of class distinction of late 19th century Britain that Gilbert and Sullivan are known for, and you are sure to laugh your way through a great show.  Showtimes and tickets are available online at https://www.rvco.org/Tickets.php
• Sun. Nov. 23 (3:00) - Rose Tree Pops Orchestra Fall Concert at St. Anastasia Church, Newtown Square, PA
  With America's 250th anniversary ahead, the Rose Tree Pops Fall Concert is "A Celebration of American Composers" and will feature works by Aaron Copeland, Leonard Bernstein, Ferde Grofe', Duke Ellington, John Williams and more.  Rose Tree Pops concerts are always free, so come on out for an afternoon of music, and a little patriotism.
